Getting started: Using ASD in Model Driven Development
Starting ASD is a 2-day course that introduces the underlying ASD technology and how it can be effectively used in model driven development.
It is intended for software architects and designers who have just started to use the ASD:Suite. No prior knowledge of the ASD:Suite is required though attendees should have knowledge and experience as a software architect, designer and/or test manager in complex technical or embedded software engineering.
The course uses hands-on examples and exercises apply ASD:Suite modelling techniques to realistic problems based on industrial cases.
The course covers:
ASD execution semantics, including:
- Synchronous and asynchronous designs,
- Threading ASD:Suite interface models.
Understanding ASD Design and Interface Models.
How to use ASD timers.
Using ASD model verification for analysis of deadlocks, livelocks, race conditions, interface compliancy and more.
Basic code generation:
- Parameter specification based on external data types,
- Customizing storage location of generated code,
- Customizing generated code headers and footers,
- Integrating handwritten data evaluator functions,
- Use the ASD:Runtime.
