The ASD:Suite Business Model Comparison

The Business Model Comparison

The ASD:Suite subscription and Pay-Per-Use (PPU) business models differ in some fundamental ways and serve different purposes.

The subscription model provides unlimited use of the ASD:Suite for a given contract period for a given number of users (seats). The cost of using the ASD:Suite for this period/number of users is fixed, although additional seats can be purchased. Over-average-use of the contract increases the value of the ASD:Suite to the customer and under-use decreases it. The customer carries the risk/benefit of under/over use.

Conversely the PPU business model provides a given amount of use of the ASD:Suite for a given contract period for an unlimited number of users. The cost of using the ASD:Suite for this period depends on the amount that it is used and is highly flexible. Verum carries the risk of under-use, the benefit of over-use is passed to the customer as a volume discount. For a standard single year contract there are no pre-payment/minimum volume purchase requirements.

A subscription requires either monthly or annual prepayment and is therefore not matched to the customer’s use of the ASD:Suite. PPU connection time can be (pre) purchased according to the customer’s expected use of the ASD:Suite and is therefore more closely matched to delivered value.
